Drinkwater’s history

Drinkwater is a village in the Rural Municipality of Redburn No. 130, on Highway 39 along a branch of the Canadian Pacific Railway, about 18 miles southeast of Moose Jaw.

The village takes its name from Charles Drinkwater, one of the original directors of the CPR. It was incorporated as a village on June 7, 1904.

Today, visitors to Drinkwater can see the Sanborn Round Barn, the community's listed attraction.
